Tai chi classes have become popular across the United States as baby boomers age and the art's reputation as a low stress training for seniors became more well known. In May 2007, three Penn State faculty members founded a regular Taiji group practice in State College. This three-person group has now grown into the Penn State Taiji Club, with several dozens of student and faculty members.
