Penn State Taiji Club
12:00 p.m.; Shell
Taiji is a gentle, body-mind unifying martial art form that originated in China more than 300 years ago. It is practiced by hundreds of millions of people around the world. Tai chi classes have become popular across the United States as baby boomers age and the art's reputation as a low stress training for seniors became more well-known. In May 2007, three Penn State faculty members founded a regular Taiji group-practice in State College. This three-person group has now grown into the Penn State Taiji Club, with several dozens of student and faculty members. They have weekly practices/teachings and perform regularly at various cultural events.
